HONEYWELL INCREASES EMPLOYMENT IN KATOWICE

Honeywell (NYSE: HON), a Fortune 100 global technology company, has announced it is increasing the size of its operation in Poland, by creating more than 75 new jobs in Katowice – the location of its recently opened European ‘Customer Experience Excellence Center’. The positions, which are already open to applicants, are in addition to the 100 roles created by Honeywell when it opened its Katowice Center in February 2019.

“The opening of our Center in Katowice earlier this year has helped us serve customers from around Europe faster and more effectively, so expanding our footprint here was a natural next step,” said Szymon Pudlik, general manager of Honeywell’s Katowice office. “We’ve been impressed by the high quality of applicants we have had since we established our center here, and are now seeking more candidates who have a passion for the advanced technology sector, and who would relish the opportunity to develop their career in a fast-paced international business environment.”

Honeywell’s technologies change the way the world works, by harnessing the Internet of Things (IoT) to connect systems found in complex modern infrastructures – from smart buildings, to advanced petrochemical facilities, dynamic logistics hubs, and fast, reliable transportation networks. This enables them to operate more safely, productively and efficiently. Honeywell’s Center in Katowice supports customers from across Europe that use these advanced technologies to improve their operational performance and drive growth.

The new customer experience jobs at the Center span technical customer support and order management roles, including supervisor and senior supervisor positions. Honeywell is seeking people with a wide range of European language skills, including English, German, Dutch, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, and Norwegian, as well as Spanish and Portuguese, and at least one to two years’ customer support experience or service backgrounds in other functions such as finance and IT.

"Honeywell's decision perfectly illustrates what operating conditions our city can offer to rapidly growing, innovative companies just like Honeywell - from a well-educated and creative talent pool, to an excellent location that is enjoyable to live and work in. We are pleased with the results achieved by Honeywell in Katowice. We wish the company success in further development in the coming months,” said Marcin Krupa, Mayor of Katowice.

Honeywell has been present in Poland and across Central and Eastern Europe since the early 1990s. Currently, more than 8,000 employees are based in the region in roles such as sales, customer support, business administration, and supply chain functions as well as product development, production and engineering services. The company supports customers in a wide range of industries, providing a mix of hardware, software and services that improve the performance and efficiency of operations.
