Throughout the world today, home office combined with the office work is everyday reality in many companies. But that doesn't mean that office spaces will lose their advantages. However, in the future, companies will have to change their real estate investment strategies in terms of efficiency and flexibility to changes.

High activity still continues among developers. In 2020 in Poland, almost 1.25 million sqm of modern office space was under construction. The second largest increase in this respect took place in the Silesia. The largest investment in Poland is Face2Face Business Campus B in Katowice (26,200 sqm) ING Tech Poland has leased the largest space in the Global Office Park A2 Tower of 16,613 sqm. This is a record on the Katowice office market. In 2020, the number of vacancies in office buildings compared to 2019 increased by less than 5 p.p. (to ca. 9.2%).

In the future companies‘ demand for office space will change – companies will analyze their work models, in order to both optimize costs and find best solutions that will help achieve a better balance between working in the office and home office. Another trend is the creation of flexible spaces in the existing offices.
